Utah's Jordan River
The Jordan River flows through the heart of the Wasatch Front and is an important source of water for the Great Salt Lake. But the water often isn’t healthy — for people or wildlife. Newsrooms are working together to explain the impacts of poor water quality and what can be done to improve it.

The Great Salt Lake Collaborative is extending its solutions-focused, collaborative journalism approach to cover the Jordan River. While many Utahns know the lake is shrinking and needs more water, they don’t know much about the quality of water that reaches the lake.

Here we explore water quality and recreation concerns, as well as other Jordan River news.
